For what it was, this place worked out pretty well. It’s a stone’s throw from Keikyu Kamata station, and the train noise wasn’t too bad, though maybe that’s because we usually got back at night. If you’re taking JR, it’s about a 10-15 minute leisurely walk to JR Kamata St., where there’s a Don Quijote under the station. From JR Kamata you can connect to JR stations across Tokyo and other areas. The stay was affordable, and the apartment felt spacious compared with places in Shinjuku. It was modern enough that it didn’t feel like a dodgy short-term rental. The toilet was probably a quarter of the whole apartment, making the toilet and shower facilities exceptionally roomy for the apartment’s size. Tokyo station is about 20 minutes away, so I don’t think the distance is much to complain about. Haneda is quite close, which is a plus and makes a taxi or Uber to the airport cheaper.

The place was incredibly clean and well stocked, with everything we needed and then some. A 7/11 is a short walk away, so it was easy to keep supplies on hand. We stayed for seven nights in December 2019 and loved it. The week was very inexpensive, and the location was ideal, about a 15-minute walk from Kamata and Keikyu-Kamata train stations, with access to pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. I was thoroughly impressed and would book again. I really can’t praise it enough.

The nightly rent felt expensive for how small the place was. There’s no elevator, so we had to haul our bags up the stairs, and the closest train station is 20-25 minutes away.
