The place is really good, affordable, and in an amazing location. It's very clean and the staff were great. I had to switch beds a few times for personal reasons, and not every bed has a mattress, so ask for one with a mattress when booking.

It's tiny, probably the smallest hostel I've stayed in, and that includes places in Tokyo. Somehow it was still really clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy even though I arrived at 1am. My name and the gate code were on the door. I don't think I met any staff, but the instructions for everything were clear enough that I didn't need to. You can rent a towel if you don't have one, along with other amenities. The bath was the best part, haha, I really enjoyed it. I think it's a great hostel. The downsides came from messy, dirty guests rather than the place itself, though I saw a staff member trying to clean up after them. Poor guy.

For the price, you can guess what to expect. It's basically bunk beds, which worked for me, and the stay was okay. I'd have rated it higher if the toilets hadn't tended to be dirty. I'd suggest more frequent cleaning, or a liquid cleaner dispenser so guests can clean the toilet after each use.

This was a frustrating, disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend the hostel. The rooms were dirty, the kitchen was messy and poorly stocked, and I could hear everything from neighboring rooms. Staff weren't clear with information, the amenities were outdated, and the place felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. It's inside a business building and was hard to find. It was also very expensive for what it offered.

We booked a private room instead of capsule beds, and it was cute and cozy, with a traditional backdrop. There are holes at the top of the wall, but that meant the air conditioning reached the room easily, so we figured that was the point. The shower had great pressure, and there's a convenience store right across the street. It's near the station in Asakusa, with Sensoji temple and Ueno/akihabara within walking distance. Great value.
