Solana Kisarazu

It’s easy to get to, just after exiting the Aqua Line, and close to the outlets, so it seems like a handy choice for people traveling around Chiba with dogs. The view of Tokyo Bay and the Aqua Line is great, and the rooms were very clean with excellent facilities. The private dog run is divided from neighboring dogs by a net about 1m wide. The dogs could see one another and bark across it.

My dog had room to run around as much as he wanted, and we had a great vacation. The sunset view over the Aqua Line was wonderful, and we enjoyed shopping at the outlet malls near both Gotemba and Kisarazu. I’ve now stayed at Solana twice, counting Gotemba, and would definitely use its facilities again. This stay changed how I think about trailer houses. The place was bright, clean, compact without feeling cramped, and warm, with great underfloor heating. It made me think a trailer house surrounded by nature could work well for retirement. There was a jacuzzi and sauna, though we didn’t use them. The one letdown was the bonfire. Unlike before, it used cylindrical stones instead of solid wood, so it wouldn’t catch fire and we couldn’t enjoy it.

I’m always struck by how immaculately clean Solana is when I visit. I travel with my dog and really appreciate the wide range of amenities. I also enjoy that each room has a different atmosphere. This time I stayed at the newly opened Kisarazu building. I could see the Aqua Line from the room and had a wonderful time.

The room was clean, and the cooking utensils were all there, so I didn’t feel inconvenienced. We enjoyed using the sauna and jacuzzi, having a BBQ, and sitting by the bonfire. The net between our room and the one next door let us see through. It gave the area an open feel, but took away a little privacy. I’d still definitely stay here again!
