Business Hotel Moji

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the room was a good size and clean. I paid 4400 yen for a single room, which was a nice rate, and the free coffee was a plus. This is an older budget hotel, but it was fine for a night’s sleep. The entrance on the second floor is a bit strange and can be hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for, but overall the place was decent.

The twin rooms are spacious, and though the facilities are old, everything was clean and nothing important seemed to be missing. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, with free toast and coffee, plus boiled eggs. The price is low, so I think it’s good value. You can park at nearby coin lots, some for 300-400 yen a night. It’s across the main street from JR Mojiko Station, along a side road on the hillside. The exterior has a questionable sort of Showa-era retro charm, and you go through a passage that looks like an emergency stairway to reach the front desk on the second floor. The reception staff were very polite.

The area around the hotel was quiet, and the service suited two men traveling together. The facilities are old, though. I personally would have liked a washlet, but given the price, I can’t complain.

The female staff were so kind, and I left feeling warm and happy before heading out to sightsee in Fukuoka. The room was clean, with a nostalgic feel. In the morning I could choose toast, coffee, or orange juice, which was a great way to start the day, lol. I’d definitely stay again. Please take care of yourself ^_^
