We had a terrible stay. There was mold across the walls, floor, and ceiling, and the carpets smelled. They refused to clean them. We switched rooms once, but found the same problem there. I can’t recommend this hotel at any price.

The room was clean and very inexpensive, and check-in was quick and easy. My main complaint is the tiny elevators. They always stop at the second-floor lobby even though the building exit is on the first, ground floor.

For the price, this old hotel is worth it. It’s right in front of Tanga monorail station, and easy to reach from Kokuro station. Free amenities and breakfast are provided. I stayed in room 705 in July 2024.

The room smelled musty when we first walked in, maybe because the toilet was damp, and that made me uncomfortable. We stayed just one night, so it was manageable. The place is a little old but generally clean and tidy, and as usual, the room isn’t very big. It’s worth the price, with no frills, right in front of a monorail station. Across the street is tanga market, including a 24-hour ramen gyoza place for supper or a late-night snack.
