Being right across from Kokura castle, with the station and malls within walking distance, is a real plus. The staff were friendly and very polite. The hotel looks older, though my room was clean, in good shape, and had no stale smell. It was roomier than newer business hotels, including the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. Check rates first because they vary a lot. Below 30€ is an absolute bargain.

Even though I booked a non-smoking room, it smelled of tobacco. The purifier filter was dirty, too.
