2no HOME & PARK

Our late check-in was close to the 10pm cutoff, but the staff were patient and gave us a quick look around the room and nearby area. You check in at the liquor store across the way, and they do stick to that cutoff, so keep it in mind. We spent one short night in a spacious quadruple room at a second location about 130m from the park. It looked old but was well kept. The bathroom was shared, though we didn't see anyone else using it. In the morning, the bugs woke us up, which gave me a cozy kampung hometown feeling.

The other things about the hostel were good, as some of the other reviews said, but if I'd known about these problems beforehand, I wouldn't have stayed. I especially wouldn't recommend it to women travelling alone, particularly if they don't speak much Japanese. One serious concern was downstairs: it's a bar open for business, not a guest common area, and we weren't told in advance. It runs from around 10pm to 0:30am, with loud conversations, noise, and doors slamming even after midnight. The main gate wasn't locked, and there was no barrier between the bar hall and the guest space. Since there's only one shower, guests have to cross that busy hall to reach the onnsenn bath next door. All the guests staying there were women, while most of the bar customers were men. When I came back, some of them just made eye contact without greeting me, which left me feeling even less safe and comfortable. I also felt disrespected by how staff handled my belongings. They threw away something I'd forgotten without telling me, then blamed me for breaking the public-area rules. They gave me no response or apology. Another guest had left her things in the same spot for two days, and staff made no effort to remove them. They seem nice to your face, but rude when a problem needs sorting out.

The free sento tickets were a real plus, and the accommodation is right beside the public bathhouse. They also provide a towel, tote bag, and toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, to take with you. We stayed as three, and having a separate room for three travelers worked perfectly. Solo travelers can get a bed with a privacy curtain. From what I saw, all the guests were women, and I didn't see any male guests. I don't know if that was deliberate or just coincidence. There are two toilets, one shower room, and a shared space with tables and chairs. Check-in is at a different location, a liquor store. The sleeping area is on the second floor, and its entrance is through a bar. We really enjoyed our stay.

It's more of a bed than a room, with a shared bathroom and sitting area. The hostel is well located, and you can walk to everything. The staff member who helped us was nice, and housekeeping was nice too. We also got free access to the public bath. Just note, locals may confront you if you don't bathe naked, without underwear. Bring plugs that work with your devices. The electricity is very weak, and there's no Wi-Fi. Thanks for having us.
