Petit Hotel Kochi

I wasn’t sure I’d picked the right place since Google Maps had very little information about it, but the stay turned out better than expected. The location is handy, just a few minutes from the station, and there are free bicycles to borrow, which made exploring Kochi more fun. Everyone, from reception to housekeeping, seemed genuinely focused on helping. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they made a real effort to communicate. The room and bathroom were very clean and looked recently renovated. There were lots of charging points, including USB outlets, and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast cost 700 yen and wasn’t a buffet. You choose one menu item, then can help yourself to as much orange juice, tomato juice, milk, and cereal as you like. That suited me well. I’d recommend this hotel over many of the bigger places I’ve stayed in.
