At around 7,000 yen a night, it was cheaper than the other business hotels in Kofu, so I stayed here. It may have once been a karaoke booth, and the sound insulation seemed pretty good: I could hear hallway conversations, but not from inside the room. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, there was a washlet, and a bathtub with a shower was available by booking a time on a whiteboard. The air conditioner was very old and noisy when the outside temperature changed. Apart from that, I had no complaints.

We paid 16,000 yen for a room for five. It had a TV and air conditioning, though the cooling wasn't very effective and the top bunk was hot to sleep in. The shared facilities were clean, with shampoo and body soap in the bathroom, a hair dryer there too, and a fridge in the kitchen. Bags and pens were thoughtfully left nearby. Bring your own toothbrush, as none are provided. Getting the key took a bit of effort: after going up to the third floor, we found the collection area was some distance away, so we checked in separately to get the key and towels. The hotel is in a shopping district with lots of restaurants, and I thought it suited a room-only stay. There's no parking lot or partner parking, but nearby lots made that manageable.

Just a place for backpackers to sleep, basically. Don't expect quality service or much hospitality.

The hotel is inside an arcade, so I could get around without getting rained on.
