Toyoko Inn Kofu Station Minami 1

Most of the staff were friendly, and the hotel itself was fine. But I booked two nights with a gap of one unbooked night so I could hike mount kita, and they wouldn't hold my laptop for that night. Carrying it up the mountain for no reason was a huge inconvenience. If the policy prevents helping a paying guest with something as simple as one-night laptop storage, it needs changing. The staff member who dealt with it was quite rude.

The room I had was well furnished and organized, and I added a video for anyone who wants to see it. The hotel is affordable for the quality of service, and the Wi-Fi was fast. There are laptops available for quick browsing, or you can borrow one for a day for 1000¥. Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of choices, and it's free from 6-9 AM. The food was great, especially the morning meal. Parking is available, though the lot is small, and there's a paid lot nearby if needed. There’s also a movie selection with a huge collection for 500¥, including adult content. Hope you enjoy your trip!

From my room, I had a great view of Kofu castle. I stayed in a compact but comfortable twin room, with one single bed in each of two sections and the bathroom between them. It had the basics I needed.

Getting to Kofu station takes just 4/5min. The rooms are bigger than at other nearby hotels, and breakfast comes included automatically. Staff were nice, and they clean every 3 nights. This place wasn't covered by the travel support campaign.
