The staff were very nice, the onsen was pleasant with one indoor bath and two outdoors, and the traditional room design felt warm. But the food was awful. About half seemed to be ready-made industrial products, and nearly everything tasted too sweet, from the fish sauce and seaweed to the meat. The first day was simply bad, and the second made us sick. The rooms were a bit old as well, and my wife and kids got splinters in their feet.

We had a bad experience over the key. They wanted a lot of money just for it.

The food was really good, and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The Onsen and garden were lovely, too. It's a lovely little Ryokan with a wonderful atmosphere. The overall design was very boxes, though the place may be a little past its prime.
