The breakfast was excellent, and the onsen and other facilities were good too. For the services you pay for, the value is pretty good. A nice place to stay when visiting Kofu city.

The room was clean and had a nostalgic Japanese feel. There's also a 24-hour spa fed directly by the hot spring.

The buffet dinner made the return visit worthwhile. I could have as much hoto as I wanted, and there was all-you-can-drink alcohol plus snacks such as chorizo. It was a relaxed meal in a quiet setting, so I was pleased I booked dinner and breakfast. I chose a Western-style twin room this time, after finally finding a weekend opening a few years after my first stay. At night, the private open-air bath in the annex was a real treat. When available, you can book it for about 30 minutes. I don't remember it being private before, so I was glad to find they'd added that option. Sitting quietly in the bath with the wind and running water audible was worth the visit. The annex manga corner has been renovated and is very clean, though it gets cold in winter without heating, which could make it hard to relax there. The building itself feels a little old, but it was clean and comfortable. Parking is spacious and easy, and the rates are fairly reasonable. I'd stay again if I could get a room.
