The hotel isn’t very big, but my room was clean. Even the single room had a semi-double bed, which gave me plenty of space. The unit bath was surprisingly roomy, bigger than in some business hotels, and I liked that the shampoo and other items sat on a shelf in the tub area instead of by the sink. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed at a good business hotel.
The breakfast lets you choose Japanese or Western food, which I found easier than a buffet. At check-in, they offer coffee or tea as a welcome drink. There’s an outlet at the bed and another at the desk. I stay in Saku City every month, and this was my first time here. The hotel feels new and clean, with free parking. Even from the low third floor, I had a nice view of what looked like Mount Asama. There’s a steak and hamburger restaurant right across the street at night, and the local Tsuruya supermarket makes this convenient if you have a car. Nearby hotels have their own strengths, like being close to the station or having hot springs. Here, the main draw seems to be the new facilities and reasonable price.
I booked on the same day and was very satisfied with the clean room and the polite front desk staff. Free parking was available, and there were plenty of convenience stores, izakayas, and restaurants nearby, which made the area fun. I went to a nearby izakaya and didn’t hear any bad reviews from the locals. Thank you.
There’s a free coffee machine in the lobby, one vending machine on the first floor, and beer is available. Microwaves by the elevator on every floor are convenient. The facilities are new and clean, which is a plus. The hotel is very close to the highway interchange, but coming from the opposite direction is awkward because of the national highway median. There’s also a sister Chinese restaurant and a steakhouse on the premises. I’ve tried the steakhouse before and didn’t think it was good. In early autumn, when I tried the air conditioning in the in-between season, it smelled sour and I couldn’t use it. The pillows also had an unpleasant aging smell. Two people paid a little over 10,000 yen, so the stay was about what I expected.
