The staff were relaxed and kind, and the food was some of the best I've ever had. At sunrise, I saw an amazing view of Mount fuji, tiny in the distance above a sea of rolling clouds. It was a truly relaxing stay.

The hotel car can take you to the ASAMA 2000 ski station, about 5 min away by car. The valley view is superb, including from the onsen bath. There's no rotenburo. Food in the hotel restaurant was pretty good, and they had an interesting selection of Japanese wines by the glass.

The indoor onsen has a great view, and in the morning a sea of clouds formed outside the room. Lovely views over Takamine. Highly recommended.

There was nobody there on the Friday I visited, but the view was spectacular. The winding mountain road made for a nice drive up.
