Kousei Art Hotel

The front desk staff were very nice, but I still gave this a one-star rating. The bathroom was awful: there were several wavy hairs in the tub that looked like someone else’s, and even hot water wouldn’t rinse them away. I thought about asking for another room, but my laptop and other things were already spread out, so I gave up. I didn’t take a bathroom photo because it was so unpleasant. The old hotel seemed to have had some updates in the room, including fairly new wallpaper, a mirror, and a large wall-mounted TV, a 2011 Toshiba REGZA. The toilet and bathroom were separate. Breakfast felt a bit homemade, but there wasn’t much to choose from, and you couldn’t get more white rice. The rice was soggy, with no distinct grains, and the salad was just supermarket lettuce and shredded cabbage. Parking is limited, so when it’s full, people park at a nearby 7-Eleven.

The rooms were clean, even though this is an older business hotel. Having curry for breakfast was a nice touch.

The room was comfortable, and they had coffee ready for us even before breakfast.

Breakfast is included, the price is low, and the older facilities are perfectly adequate for the money. You’ll often see people in trades and similar lines of work staying here. Don’t come expecting city-hotel service, but if you keep the price in mind, I think it’s a good hotel.
