Business Hotel Raicho

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. Koshigaya station is an easy five-minute walk away. One small inconvenience: when heading out to explore, you have to leave your room key with the staff and collect it when you return.

For the price, breakfast was decent, and it was only 300 yen even though I was staying without meals. There was a nice manga selection, too. The place is clean, and the front desk staff are friendly. The facilities are clearly dated, though, and both the room and TV are small, which I suppose comes with the price. The coin laundry is on the third floor; you can pick up free powdered soap at the second-floor front desk.

We needed somewhere to stay at short notice, just two days ahead, and found this hotel. With its very Showa-era look, inside and out, even down to the name, we were a bit nervous about the room. Once inside, though, it was clean and had no cigarette smell. I think the exterior and name are doing it a disservice, haha. There were five of us: two adults, a student, an elementary school child, and a two-year-old. The front desk had large-sized diapers guests could use for free, which really touched us. The kids also loved watching the tropical fish in the room. Since we were a group of five, staff kindly opened a connecting room, so we had plenty of space. We were on the sixth floor, and it was very quiet. We didn't see any mites, despite what some other reviews said. The kettle didn't work, but the front desk staff were very helpful, which left a good impression. The hotel is close to the station, though the surrounding area is a bar district at night and felt a little unsafe to us. Thanks for the pleasant service.

Parking was an extra 500 yen. The room was clean and comfortable, with a sofa, and the air conditioning was already on when I arrived, which felt welcoming. Breakfast was basic, but free or very reasonably priced, so I was happy with it.
