The breakfast costs ¥1000 and is well worth it. Nori also knows a lot about travel around Japan and gave us useful suggestions for other places to visit, as well as helping us make the most of Koyasan. He and his family are wonderful hosts. Hachi Hachi Guest house feels welcoming and is kept clean, with spacious bedrooms and really comfortable beds. The facilities are in good shape and cleaned daily. A fantastic place to stay.

We felt at home in Nori's family-run guesthouse, and it was super cozy. The whole place is spotless, with thoughtful touches everywhere, from the amenities to the tiny fridge and oven, adjustable temperature and lighting, and a generous breakfast. Nori lives at the guesthouse with his family and was welcoming, with plenty of useful tips for food and sightseeing. The location, right by the Baen-Mae bus stop at the entrance to town, made a convenient starting point for Koyasan's temples. Hachi Hachi Guesthouse is new, spotless, and designed with comfort and practicality in mind. It’s a great alternative to the pricey temple stays. Highly recommended.

The quiet, traditional feel made this a lovely place to slow down in Koyasan. Everything was clean and peaceful, arranged with care and respect for nature and silence. I especially liked the calm, welcoming atmosphere. The host was kind and discreet, available whenever needed without being intrusive.
