Resort Inn Daiju

Breakfast was excellent, and there were great shared spaces to spend time in. The rooms were great and the staff excellent. We had four kids with us, and they made everything easy for our group and were so accommodating. We had the best time at Daiju. I can't recommend it highly enough, and we'll definitely be back.

We skipped the shuttle because we preferred sleeping in, and walked to Akakura Onsen and the town centre instead. It's an easy enough walk, just uphill on the way there. If you're driving, there's room to park. They also run daily shuttles from the train station and to the four main ski resorts. We had a great stay, with good rooms and staff who were all warm and friendly. I'd highly recommend it.

The only awkward bit was the 450m walk into the main town. It's uphill from the hotel and downhill on the way back, which made an evening trip with a toddler trickier. We only stayed one night, which was a shame. The staff were really, really friendly and helpful, and the morning shuttle to any of the local resorts was super convenient.

The communal room was lovely for relaxing and chatting with other guests, with snowy mountain views outside. The whole place was very clean and had great facilities. Mack, Issy, Myer and the team made the holiday memorable, nothing felt like too much trouble. Breakfast was great each morning, and we got rides to and from the train station as well as shuttles to the different ski mountains each day. We had two rooms for three adults and two kids, and all of us loved it. Just gorgeous, 10/10 from us. We'll definitely return.
