Easy to reach from the station, Tokyo Inn Kumagaya works well for a couple of nights on a business trip. It may not be as comfortable for families or a longer stay. The beds are good and the linen is okay, though the pillow is hard. Depending on the room, the windows may pose a risk. The toilet and bathroom are okay, but make sure you learn how to use the shower, hand shower, and sink. Breakfast is available to take away in disposable packaging, with an economy-focused selection. They follow eco cleaning, so the room is cleaned every third or fourth night. I’d recommend it for business travel.

Breakfast is self-service with a limited selection. If miso soup and salad work for you in the morning, it’s fine. It’s a typical business hotel, though fairly new, and the rooms are bright and clean.

The hotel wasn’t noisy. I had a good experience, with a nicely sized room, a large shower, and a decent breakfast. The beds were firm but comfortable, and the staff were friendly.
