It has a homey feel, and you can cook, do laundry, and take a bath whenever you like. There’s air conditioning in the loft, too. A coin car park nearby charges around 1,000 yen from 7 PM until checkout. There’s also a restaurant area and a supermarket within easy walking distance, handy for grabbing food and a drink before heading back for another round. Laundry has no dedicated drying spot, though lighter clothes can dry with the fan and air conditioner. The two-burner induction cooker is weak, so boiling water takes a while. The place shakes quite a bit, probably because it’s near a train line, with frequent tremors around magnitude 2, so it may not suit anyone sensitive to that. And watch your head in the loft, the ceiling is low! (laughs) Good value for the money.

Being able to cook your own food makes this a good deal. It’s a little far from the station, but near a bus stop, which is handy for getting to the airport. The duplex stairs are pretty steep, though, and can feel a bit scary, as others have mentioned.

Getting four pieces of luggage up was a real ordeal for us 😭. There’s no elevator, and the stairs are hard to climb. The house also shakes a little when large vehicles go by, and the power can trip when you’re cooking. Charging outlets are close to the counter, so a multi-port fast charger only lets you plug in one device there. The layout has a living room downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. It felt cozy, elegant, and clean, with the basics provided: an oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. The living room sofa was very comfortable.

We had room 102, and the kids upstairs ran around loudly. Since we went to bed late, it didn’t bother us, but light sleepers should avoid a first-floor room. The nearest 7-Eleven is also a bit of a walk. The location is excellent, with a tram stop right outside and the bus and airport limousine stops about a minute away. That airport bus stop comes before Sakuracho Bus Terminal, so there are fewer people trying to board there. At Sakuracho Bus Terminal, lots of people may not be able to get on. The room was fairly spacious and had cooking gear, including a rice cooker and microwave, as well as a washing machine. The sleeping area is up a steep set of stairs, so take care going up and down.
