You can have a fun day here without spending too much, especially if you buy tickets ahead at a convenience store for a lower price. There’s a lazy river, two slides, and a kiddie pool and slide area. You can rent floats, and there’s a snack stand, plus changing rooms, lockers, and showers. The adjoining building has a lunch buffet too. Bringing your own food is apparently against the rules, though most people seem to do it anyway. Bring your own shade tent and towels. You’ll need a car to get here.

I come here once a year to reset my body, and I always look forward to the recovery meals because they’re surprisingly tasty. The dining room is a real highlight too, with a wide view over the Mizushima industrial complex. I recommend squeezing some lemon into the carrot juice.

It gets pretty hot around the pool, so bring flip-flops, though you have to take them off when you get in the water. If you forget, you’ll have to walk all the way back to your shoes. A simple tent is a must since it’s so crowded you can’t really get under a parasol. The inner tube rental is 300 yen, and admission is 1300 yen for adults and 750 yen for children. You’re basically not supposed to bring food or drinks, but everyone seems to bring them in coolers anyway ☺️ The uphill walk from the parking lot to the pool was tough for me since I’m not very fit (^_^;).

The radon bath left me feeling refreshed after a 40-minute session, and my sister was the one who suggested the bath and lunch set. The restaurant is up on a mountain but was packed, and the food was delicious. I’d used the children’s pool here before, but this time I tried something different. 🍴😋😃

It’s up on a mountain, so getting here isn’t easy, but watching the top skaters is a treat. The staff are friendly, and the ice has just the right hardness. If you’re new, find someone and ask for pointers. If they start pushing too hard to teach you, it’s fine to say no. Let’s all enjoy ourselves 😊
