The Japanese breakfast was generous and thoughtfully prepared, with a decent range of local dishes, and the kaiseki dinner was excellent. The service was warm, and the different indoor and open-air hot spring baths made it easy to unwind and enjoy Japanese bathing culture. We had a spacious Japanese-style room, larger than a standard room, with a separate sitting area and a tatami room that was used as a living space by day and turned into a sleeping area at night. It felt authentic and serene. Entaijiso is a charming traditional onsen hotel surrounded by mountain views and the soothing sound of the Kurobe River. The property is showing its age, and some facilities feel dated. This isn’t a modern city hotel, it’s a place to slow down and soak in nature and tradition. If you’re after a peaceful, genuine onsen experience, Entaijiso is a good choice.

The onsens were relaxing and really nice. Our rooms were good, and the breakfast area had a pretty view. They also accommodated our vegetarianism on very short notice and made us tasty meals.

We could book a private Onsen time and look out over the Gorge. The service was great, and they managed to make us vegetarian Kaiseki. A great stay at this Ryoken.

I was very satisfied with the delicious food and how clean and beautiful the inn was. I had a baby with me, and they even prepared a gift and a diaper trash can.

The dinner was a full Japanese meal: sashimi, white shrimp soup and chicken bamboo shoot rice. They had the futon ready when I returned to my room. I also wore the yukata they provided and stayed in a river-view room at the ryokan, which really gave me that Japanese atmosphere. I’d recommend staying here. A couple of small things went wrong, like a broken shower head and no body soap, but they handled both issues really well.
