We were vegetarian and hadn't mentioned it ahead of time, but they still put together a fully vegetarian breakfast for us. It was filling and tasty, and was included in our plan. The staff were kind and very helpful throughout. The hotel is right in central Kusatsu onsen, so getting around is easy. It looks like it may have been renovated recently, with spacious, lovely rooms and a great lounge stocked with books in Japanese and English, plus a ping-pong table. There are several private onsens to choose from and reserve, which made for a relaxing soak. I can't recommend the place enough.

We stayed in a traditional Japanese room, which was a really nice experience. The public bath is spacious, and the welcome from the staff was warm and friendly. Yubatake is under five minutes away, so the location is excellent. I'd definitely recommend it for a Kusatsu visit.

It's right on the shopping street, which makes getting around easy and convenient. The staff attitude was poor.

We had a plan without breakfast, but were pleasantly surprised that a free breakfast was included. The free private family bath was a nice extra, and the large public bath was good too. The building and facilities are old, though they're looked after and comfortable. Our room's toilet was very cramped. The inn is conveniently close to both the Yubatake and Sainokawara Onsen. There's a small parking lot, and it seems you can park from 1 p.m., but getting in and out looked like it might be difficult.
