The quality really depends on which unit you get. I’ve stayed at Asuka before, and the other reviews seem to reflect that difference. In both units, though, sound travels straight through the thin walls, so neighbors can be loud inside your room. In Unit #5, the bedroom and bathroom were fine, but the supposed living room was basically part of the kitchen, with a small couch right by the sink and stove. It was dark and had little natural light, so we wound up spending time in the bedroom instead. The neighbors partied through our stay, and there was no soundproofing to keep the noise out. Unit 8 also had a good bedroom, dining area, and bathroom, but the living room was uncomfortable. Its narrow white PVC corner couch barely fit a small person, and it felt like you might slide off. With winter occupancy rates, it seems fair to expect a reasonably comfortable couch so guests can relax after skiing. Holiday Niseko should set a basic comfort standard for the properties it manages.

We really enjoyed staying at Asuka Apartments. The place is close to the main street, and we could walk to everything around Niseko. Our beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen had all the basics covered: fridge, stove, small grill, cookware, cutlery, and utensils. There was a dry room too, plus a washer and dryer. The staff were helpful and quick to answer our emails before the trip. We’d recommend Asuka to anyone looking for a nice place in Niseko.

We stayed in the upstairs apartment nearest the road, a tidy little place that was basic but comfortable, with a full kitchen and more space than we needed. Holiday Niseko even moved our luggage over from our other rental at no extra cost, and the staff were really nice about it. The location in Hirafu Village made everything walkable. There’s a small hill to go up, or you can wait for the shuttle to the lifts. Shuttles run often and the timetable was easy enough to follow. Good value for the spot. Holiday Niseko has plenty of other places too. Go enjoy the powder, it’s fantastic.

Lower Hirafu worked great for our group. There’s a courtesy bus almost right outside, or you can walk uphill to the Hirafu intersection. The apartment suits a group of friends or a family.

We had a lot of fun here. The apartment was clean and comfortable, a great place to stay.
