The bathroom and bathtub are on the small side, but the rest of the room is nice, and the hotel is quiet. I was glad the TV had Chromecast so I could watch what I wanted. A good, affordable place to stay.

The rooms are comically small, but they still fit a kitchen, two beds, a clothes area, and a bathroom, and we were comfortable by the end of the day. The tradeoff is the noise. You can hear electrical sounds, pipes, and water from neighboring rooms through the walls, all the time, so light sleepers may wake often. The location is great, near lots of restaurants and stores. Service was good too: when I asked, the room was cleaned neatly, and towels, toiletries, and robes were provided. Check-in and check-out are self-service, but the process was easy to follow, with everything explained in English.

We chose this place to save on lodging, since it costs less than staying closer to the Niseko resorts or in the village. The rooms were very small, but the mini kitchen was useful. Everything was clean, and I appreciated the extra toiletries and amenities, including laundry and space outside the room for snowboards. The soundproofing was good, though the beds were quite hard. The Kutchan location is convenient for a short walk to the station, groceries, and restaurants. We couldn't check in early because the hotel is unmanned. For the resorts, I'd suggest having a car. Buses come only every two hours, get very busy, and take a lot of planning. It's about a 45-minute ride to grand hirafu, and taxis are pricey.

The room is tiny, but it works surprisingly well and is a great deal in a great location. We stayed seven nights. Before arriving, we were a bit nervous because it looked small online, the hotel was unmanned, and parking was off-site. My girl and I laughed when we first saw the room. We booked at the last minute and got a bunk-bed room, not ideal for a couple, but we made it work. It's VERY functional and thoughtfully laid out for the little space. There's plenty of hanger space in the hallway, plus a place outside the room for wet ski gear. Bring a wire bike lock if you want to secure your gear, since it's left in the hallway. Trash is collected every day, and you can pick up fresh towels whenever you like. They'll clean the room if you put the little magnetic sign on the door and ask. The shower and bathroom are tiny too, but nice. The location is hard to beat, with lots of great little restaurants nearby. It's about a 12-minute drive to Niseko and 40 minutes to Rusutsu for skiing. Parking turned out to be no problem: there's room for two cars right out front to load and unload people and gear, then the lot is just a two or three minute walk away. My gf takes longer to get ready, so I'd go warm up the car and pull around to pick her up. Easy. I'd recommend this as a budget option if you want a place without hostel-style shared bathrooms. I might stay here next season too. And the grocery store sushi nearby was really good.

There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and parking is just a block away. You can unload your bags at the hotel first, then park. After a day on the slopes, it's a great place to crash: automated check-in, clean rooms, and indoor space to keep your ski gear warm. Really good value.
