That old room really did have the feel of a traditional inn, though parts of the floor looked like they might give way. At dinner, we weren't told there was dessert, so it was brought up to our room after we'd finished. We also never got a breakfast time, just a morning call saying it was ready. As other guests have said, the QR code for Taiza Crab had been removed, and the crab itself wasn't very tasty to me or the friend who came along. I don't think I'll ever want to return.

The ocean view from my room and its own bath were great. I came alone in June, when it was out of season and very quiet. The weather was lovely for walking by the coast, and the sunset was beautiful.

I've been eating crab in Taiza for more than 20 years, and this was the first time I'd seen one with a green Taiza crab tag and QR code that I wasn't allowed to inspect. I asked during the meal, but they still wouldn't show it to me. Afterwards I told the manager, or whoever was acting as manager, that the code couldn't be shown because it wasn't there. They didn't even check with the staff on site and simply insisted it was there. Customers will lose trust if the facts aren't properly checked.

I come every crab season, and the service seems to get worse each year. The portions have shrunk too, even as course prices have gone up. I know prices are high, but that combination is disappointing. I've included photos to compare.
