There isn't much to see nearby, but it's a lovely place to slow down. We came to Majin Onsen for the legendary Majin crab, and after rain over the previous few days, we were the only guests, just the two of us, with a private bath. The food was prepared beautifully: sashimi, charcoal grilling, hot pot, and quick-cooking dishes. We ordered snow crab to compare, too. The Majin crab was incredibly fresh and delicious, a rare flavor, and the snow crab was even fresher than the snow crab we'd eaten the night before at Kinosaki Onsen. Anyone who loves fresh crab should try this place. Our waitress was a little older and so attentive that we felt bad asking her to come explain things. She even stood with an umbrella and watched us leave, still waving goodbye until our car turned the corner. Please take care of yourself!
