We had a wonderful time at Guesthouse Lokokokoro. It’s a cozy, welcoming stay in a quiet spot with transit, shops, fine dining, and nature close by. The host was gracious, and the house blends the things you need, like an efficient kitchen, washer/dryer, futons, western-style beds, and a/c, with shoji screens, tatami mats, and chabudai and zabutons for meals.

Uzu-San was such a fantastic host, quick to respond and full of useful advice. Her place is beautiful and a lovely spot to stay. I’d happily book it again on my next visit.

The host made us feel so welcome, and she was kind enough to go above and beyond. The location is amazing and the place has that classic Japanese style. 10/10, I’d come back!

Everything was ready for us, and the host was very nice and had lots of recommendations for the area. Staying in the unit felt like a perfect traditional Kyoto experience. Highly recommend.

It’s in a quiet residential spot that’s really handy, with a local 7-ELEVEn style shop and a Post office only a few minutes away on foot. The Kyoto style house is lovely, and the host was friendly and helpful. Fushimi Station is a short walk away, about five-ish stops from Kyoto Central Station.
