I only stayed for three days, but it felt like I’d always belonged here 😅. The place was cozy and comfortable, probably the best stay I’ve had in Japan. The host was so nice, showed us how everything worked, and went over the simple house rules. There were lots of helpful notes around the house about the area. I really wish I could’ve stayed longer!

We were just passing through and stayed one night. It’s very clean and completely quiet, and the house itself is lovely. It is a little out of the way, but for an authentic experience it works well. I’d recommend it if that’s the kind of stay you want.

There’s plenty of parking, and it seems to be free, which made the stay feel quite affordable. I’d be happy to come back next time, and it seems like a good fit for a longer visit too. The careful details, hospitality, amenities, and bedding all made things really comfortable. You get the feeling of living in a traditional Kyoto row house.

We were a group of five, staying with a friend’s family while visiting Japan. The older house was spacious enough for us, very clean, well cared for, and easy to use, so we were comfortable throughout. We had only planned a day in Kyoto, but the place made us wish we could have spent several days there. The owner was kind and attentive, and we’re very grateful.
