The place has a beautiful, authentic Japanese feel while still having modern amenities. Gion is a quick walk away, with temples, shops, and restaurants just a few blocks from the Airbnb. It’s also easy to get elsewhere around the city by bus, train, or taxi. The location, amenities, and service were all top notch. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

The management was communicative and attentive, and the house felt clean, comfortable, and homey, with lovely furnishings. It’s on a quiet neighborhood street, a stone’s throw from Kiyomizu-dera, Sanneizaka, shopping streets, great restaurants, and plenty of confectionery shops. An exceptional place.

We loved having a grocery store nearby, along with lots of restaurants and historic sites within walking distance. The house was fantastic and the location was great. The hosts were helpful and responded quickly.

We had a wonderful stay, and the house was very well equipped. Having two bathrooms meant we could all get ready in time to start the day. It’s close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, so we could visit early before the crowds arrived.
