Hotel Crush On

I stayed a few days on a trip that mixed work and holiday, and found it very good value. The hotel has three rooms per floor, so it felt calm. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked the simple room layout, which uses the space well. The bathroom and shower were roomy and bright, with cool grey-mix matte tiles. The royal jelly soap, shampoo, and conditioner were a nice touch. Umbrellas in both long and short styles were waiting by the lift lobby, so there was no need to ask reception. It's around 7-10 minutes' walk from the main road and metro station. There's a convenience store next door, a ramen place around the corner, and cafes and restaurants within 1-8 minutes on foot, ranging from local to international food. Definitely recommend.

The room was clean and comfortable, with good amenities for our trip. We could walk to everything we wanted to see and do in Kyoto. All the staff were welcoming, friendly, and keen to help. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The staff really made the stay pleasant. They spoke and understood English well, greeted us warmly, and one person even brought my luggage up after I'd said I'd collect it myself. The room was clean and dust-free, with a comfortable bathroom, strong water pressure, and a smart toilet seat. Supplies were generous, including an extra toilet roll and a full tissue box. Cleaning happened every two days, but the sheets weren't changed. Each of us got one small towel, one large towel, and a bathrobe. The smart TV let us cast from our own paid services, such as Netflix and Disney+. We could lay our 24-inch luggage flat in some corners, though it blocked the walkway a bit. The room was smaller than expected, but its space was manageable and actually not bad by Japan hotel standards. We were by the lift, facing the Kyoto Tower side, but on a low floor so there was no view. It seems each floor has three rooms, one facing the temple, one toward the back street, with the lift and stairs between them. The paper shoji-style window had two small holes, so I took photos and let the front desk know in advance to prevent any misunderstanding. Crush on Kyoto is close to malls, food, and the subway, and the convenience is easy to see on Google. We had a comfortable stay with great service and a fantastic location.

A no-fuss little hotel in a perfect spot. We were on the third floor and could hear some traffic. The bathroom was great. There's no breakfast, but you can get that somewhere else.
