The basics are all covered, so there isn't much to worry about. But the soundproofing is really poor. You can clearly hear any movement on the second floor from the ground floor, which made it hard to sleep.

It's a small, quaint Japanese-style house with four bedrooms, two toilets, one bath, and KD. Clean and cozy, though the bedroom windows don't offer good views. There's no wifi either. The location is premium, very close to places like Gion, the Shijo shopping district, and Kiyomizu, so expect to pay for that convenience.

Great location, and the house is clean!

I'm a local resident. Please be especially careful if you're in a group of young people, whatever your nationality. If you make noise around 11pm or later, I'll call the police. 😡

Good value for the money. The mattress should be replaced, though, and figuring out the heating controls is a little tricky.
