The staff were really friendly and helped us figure out the nearby laundry facilities. The train station and several good local food spots are about a 15-minute walk away, so the location was decent. We were five people and felt a bit squeezed at first, but there was still ample room once we rolled up the futons during the day. It was a very comfortable stay, and I highly recommend Kevin’s place as an affordable Kyoto option.

The staff checked in to see how everything was going and gave us a small Japanese keepsake. They also handled my special request beautifully before we arrived, as we were travelling with a three-year-old. The room was fantastic, much bigger than expected and very clean. Air conditioning and heating both worked well. It had all the cool Japanese gadgets, including a fancy toilet, deep bath, and remote-controlled lights. I highly recommend this place, it’s great!

We had a great stay in these lovely rooms. There was plenty of space to move around, and the amenities were sufficient. The location was convenient, and the host was amazing too. :)

Yukie was very nice, answered our Kyoto questions, and communicated clearly about check-in. The space has everything you might need. I’d stay again if I get the chance.
