The location in the heart of Gion couldn't be better, and I loved my four days here. Kizashi occupies levels 2 and 3. From the ground floor, the elevator is clearly marked and reached through a spacious, well-lit hallway about 15 m long. There are two shops along it, but the hallway stays accessible when they're closed, so there were no issues. My suite was luxurious and roomy, with a super comfortable bed, a big window, and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower and its own onsen. I could open the window for fresh air, too. Reception was staffed around the clock, and the staff were kind and very helpful. I'd come back.

The space is really large by Japan's standards, or anyone's, and you can't beat the location. Keiko speaks excellent English. She and her staff were wonderful when the air conditioning had a hiccup, doing everything they could to help me out. I'll definitely be back.

You're right on a street full of stores, restaurants, and things to do, so the location is great. The room is large, though not huge. It has both a traditional tatami living room and a modern one. The bathroom has a wooden tub. The only drawback was the old bedroom carpet, which needs some upkeep.

On my first trip to Japan, I came across this place to practice traditional Japanese archery. Everyone working there was really kind, and the crew members were amazingly friendly. I felt very comfortable and highly recommend it.

The rooms are gigantic, the design is beautiful, and the location is perfect. Breakfast delivered to the room was really nice. My only suggestion is to update the TVs.
