Kyoto - House - Vacation STAY 41844v

The owner was quick to respond and really accommodating, which we appreciated. We’d gladly come back to Kyoto and stay here again. The house has a warm, solid feel as soon as you walk in, and the traditional design looks newly renovated. Everything was clean, the stairs felt sturdy, and none of them creaked. The appliances seemed new too. Beds were comfortable and a good size, and as a very tall family we were glad the doorways were standard Western height instead of the usual lower Japanese ones. There’s more room here than in most similar places, including the halls and bathrooms. Having a toilet on every floor was handy at night, and the air-con was quiet enough to keep us cool without disturbing us. The street is very peaceful. Buses to most parts of Kyoto and a big supermarket are about 300 metres away, with a good range of restaurants within a few hundred metres.
