We had everything we needed in the room, and the train station was close by. That meant we could skip the terrible buses when traveling with our luggage. A very good place to stay for a few days while traveling!

The room was larger than those at similarly priced hotels. The location is great, close to the station and a small shopping center, and check-in and checkout are self-service.

The room was basic and had very few amenities. On my last night, someone from the staff knocked, then tried to come into my room. That felt scary and really unprofessional. The location is great, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The location made getting around easy, with Nijo station right across the street and shops and restaurants a short walk away. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke good English. My room was clean, cosy, and roomy enough to move around with large luggage. It had the basic toiletries, though there was no tea or coffee. For a two star place, it felt better than many three star hotels.

The staff were welcoming, and if you arrive early, you can leave your bags in the foyer until the room is ready. The room had a fridge, microwave, and kettle, with fresh towels and complimentary products. There was laundry too. Nijo station and the castle are close, and you can walk to the imperial palace gardens. Shops and places to eat are nearby as well.
