Resi Stay Hotel Sun Chlorella

I was frustrated that even a fresh large bath towel came with an extra 300 yen charge. Nobody explained at the start that we were expected to reuse towels and wash and dry them ourselves in the machine in the bathroom area. There’s no room service, and everything seems to cost extra. For what the hotel charges, the lack of service was disappointing. If you don’t want to handle even your own towel laundry, you may want to stay somewhere else.

The room felt spacious, and the hotel was quiet and small. Being right by Kyoto Station made getting around easy, and there was a cat cafe next door that was nice for the kids. It took me a little while to find the place at first. The only snag was the washing machine instructions, which were in Japanese, so bring a translation app. I’d recommend it for families.

We stayed five nights and got no daily housekeeping, and reception service was poor. We had booked a quadruple room with two full beds, but were given a family room with one double bed and a tatami bed instead, which didn’t match what the website showed. There’s a bus stop nearby, though the buses were always crowded and didn’t allow large luggage.

Good connections to public transport, and plenty of room for the kids. We had two double beds and a sofa bed, which worked well for our family.
