SAI Hotel Kiyomizu Gojo

The staff at Sai Hotel were fantastic, always so polite. We'd left a passport behind at our previous hotel in Tokyo, and they went out of their way to arrange its safe delivery to us, even paying the postage. Without their extra effort, we wouldn't have made our return flight. The location was great, close to the main part of the city. The room was a little bigger than I'd expected, though still in keeping with the usual size of Japanese rooms. This was an ideal hotel for staying in Kyoto.

It's a modern place with great service, and the staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English when needed. We stayed Japanese-style as a family of four. Everything we needed was an easy walk away, and Kyoto Station was about a ¥1200 taxi ride if you don't want to walk or take the bus or subway. I'd stay again.

I spent seven nights here. The room was clean and the staff were nice. A bus stop and a 24-hour restaurant are just a minute's walk away, and Kyoto Station is about 20 minutes away. The AC held up fine through Kyoto's hot, humid summer days. Excellent!

I loved staying here 😁. The hotel is beautiful, and the room was really nice. There's a tatami area measuring 3 by 3 that could fit 3 to 4 people. The shower has a rub, and there's also a fridge, kitchen, cookware storage, and sink. The bathroom has a high-tech Japanese toilet. I also liked the traditional sliding door made of wood and paper.
