The room was a highlight for us: we had a spacious double downstairs with a little garden, a good-sized bathroom, and a separate toilet. Everything was cleaned daily. The owner and staff were welcoming, polite, spoke good English, and were always willing to help. It’s a bit away from Kyoto’s main areas, but coming back to somewhere quiet after a busy day was nice. The bus stop is a 10-minute walk, or we took an Uber into town for about 1,500-2,000 yen depending on the time. I’d recommend it for couples or groups. There’s also a large room with four bedrooms, an upstairs room with one queen bed, plus a tea room and tatami room upstairs.

Our Japanese quadruple room was really spacious and came with a private courtyard. The place was peaceful and beautiful, and the location was great.

My mother and I had our first experience of Japanese hospitality here, and our host made it unforgettable. The rooms were comfortable, with lovely peaceful views, and each had a traditional bath that felt wonderful for a long, relaxing soak. I was also amazed by the traditional breakfast. The dishes seemed simple, yet they were so delicate and full of flavor. It’s hard to imagine a more restful stay in Kyoto. Book without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed!

The room was lovely, with a view of a private Japanese garden. Breakfast was a delicious traditional Japanese meal, and the owner was very kind. The neighborhood is quiet, with a nearby bus stop for getting around easily. I’d definitely recommend it.
