The hotel is within walking distance of Kyoto Train station, with a bus stop nearby. As a runner, I found trails easy to reach and the surrounding sidewalks were fine. Our room worked perfectly for a family of four, and the washing machine was a welcome bonus. The WiFi worked, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

We booked the Quadruple room for a long family trip in Japan. It had a washer/dryer, Netflix, a microwave oven, and two comfortable queen-size beds, all useful amenities for us. The staff were young, nice, and enterprising, and the stay was comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet, a little away from busy Kyoto. Across the street, Sushinari is a sushi restaurant worth checking out for an authentic Japanese meal.

The rooms are clean and modern, and the staff are friendly. Root 2 is a small hotel connected to a fantastic little restaurant, where the fresh breakfasts each morning were outstanding. It’s about a quick ten-minute walk to Kyoto station, so seeing the city is easy. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and I highly recommend it when visiting Kyoto.

The rooms were clean and had modern amenities. A washing machine and dryer in the room were a bonus. Breakfast was exceptional, and they bake fresh bread onsite.

It’s a small hotel near the main train station, with lovely staff and pretty details in the interior design. I’d stay here again.
