Tsumugi Sanjusangendo

We found this renovated Kyoto-style townhouse comfortable, and it seemed like good value for a family or a bigger group. The townhouse itself has a lovely feel, and the air conditioning and heat were already set up in every room before we arrived. At checkout, we could just lock the front door and leave. The cleaning could have been better: there was a hairpin in the bathroom, grime on the mirror and sink, hair on the floor, and dust on the air conditioner filter. There aren't many places to eat nearby, so delivery or groceries to cook with may work best. Bring your own seasonings, since none are provided, and perhaps paper plates too, as the selection of dishes is limited. Still a fantastic townhouse stay if those small things don't bother you.

I was hoping to stay in a traditional Japanese row house, found this place online, and was really pleased with the renovation. It was so comfortable. Not having to haul luggage around on buses or trains felt like a treat. The bathroom lighting was a bit dim, though the silver drain reflected enough light to make it quite bright in another way. The bed was very comfy. 👍️ I'd love to come back! ❤️

I finally got to stay at this detached house hotel with my family after wanting to for a long time. The bathroom has a cypress bath, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom, living room, and kitchen was especially welcome in a cold Kyoto winter. I love little houses like this, honestly wish I had one, maybe to run as a guesthouse. It's a pretty sensible, affordable choice for a group. There's street parking where the houses are, and Keihan Shichijo station is a reasonable walk away. Taxis can be surprisingly hard to get, so walking to Gojo Street is a better bet. I'd already booked breakfast at a restaurant in Gion, where there are loads of great places.

There were lots of people, and Gyeompyunghee was there too. I also met the cute Hyejeong and had all sorts of incidents, but I'm not going to write about them. The place just felt like an empty house in Japan. Still, when something was inconvenient, they came late at night and responded right away, which I appreciated. If you need help but can't call, try messaging through the website where you booked. I'm in a bad mood, so I can't upload any more pictures. The ones I have are all bad.
