HOTEL KSEA (Adult Only)

The deluxe room on the sixth floor was unbearable. Dust and cigarette smell hit me as soon as I walked in, and some of the dust had turned yellow. It reminded me of an unused room in a country house. I couldn't air it out because the window design wouldn't let me open it, so I left after about 10 minutes. I've stayed here five or six times, and the standard and budget rooms on floors two and three were a bit small but clean, with no real issues. That other experience was normal, so I'm giving it two stars. This was several months ago, and I hope the room has improved since.

The waiting area had around five sofas, perhaps because the place is so popular, with simple partitions and curtains between them. It's close enough to the station that you can see it from the platform. The room itself was average. The bathroom had a pretty big tub, though the shower area felt cramped, maybe because of where the door sits. Some rooms have only a shower and no tub, and cost a little less. If a soak isn't important to you, that may be enough. The room is small, but the bed isn't much different in size, so it could work depending on what you need.

The rooms are clean, which makes me feel comfortable staying here. It's often nearly full, maybe because it's so close to the station, so lately I've been calling ahead to reserve just in case. I'm glad you can book a room only 30 minutes in advance. I do keep forgetting to call when I'm checking out, though...

They came up with ridiculous reasons, including that there's no parking and that they can't give me a receipt if I pay by credit card. A card statement isn't a receipt. I wish they'd use some common sense.
