Meals are something they can be proud of, they were really impressive. The Japanese family running this ryokan was friendly, and the place was super clean. Though it has quite a few rooms, they take only a limited number of groups each night, which helps them maintain service and quality. The onsen is small, but clean and not crowded. It felt good.

A shared bathroom and stairs to the room are worth knowing about. The staff were helpful with the luggage and carried it so its wheels wouldn't damage the ryokan. We had a great experience overall.

For under $100 per person, we got two meals and a quiet, relaxing stay. This is a reasonable, unpretentious old Showa-era ryokan, with excellent natural hot springs. It felt like home.

A caring staff and large, comfortable onsen baths made this family-run hotel a great stay. I highly recommend it.

The woman here is lovely and speaks enough English to get by. The dark onsen is nice, the Wi-Fi works well, and breakfast is really good. Pretty ryokan.
