Hananoyado Nishikien

It’s very relaxing here, and I’d recommend it for anyone who doesn’t like busy places. The room was clean, and the staff were really helpful. Service, staff, and food were all good. We stayed one night and had a great experience. Getting here is a little inconvenient. There’s a bus from Okayama station that takes about 2hrs, but it doesn’t run often. Another option is to take JR to the hayashino station and ask the hotel for a pickup.

The lobby had a play area where we could spend time together as a family, and there were various services that made the stay comfortable. We came on a family trip with our one-year-old child. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were very kind and pleasant. The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. Our whole family was very satisfied. We’d love to stay here again.

All the staff were incredibly nice, and I was very satisfied with the inn. In the lobby, there were daruma dolls, pressed flower art, and a small game where you read a book and solve riddles. I enjoyed my first hot spring bath while watching the snow. It was wonderful. My room was spacious, with huge windows, but it was cold. Sliding doors between the rooms would have been nice.

The sukiyaki course was delicious, with very tender meat, and there was so much of it that we couldn’t finish. The children’s meals were luxurious too, and my kids loved them. We stayed one night during a three-day weekend with our small child, and the new tatami in our Japanese-style room was clean and comfortable. The open-air bath was smaller than I expected, so I felt a little uncomfortable when other people were in it. The temperature was just right, though, and it was very pleasant. There was also an indoor bath. The staff treated us well and were all very kind. Several employees were foreign, and while their Japanese was sometimes hard to understand, they were courteous and attentive. A few stains on the cushion covers bothered me, and I wish they’d been cleaned. I’d definitely stay again if I get the chance. Thank you.
