Minato Koyado Awajishima

From outside, Minato Koyado Awajishima didn’t look like anything special, and I had the same impression when I first saw it online. Inside was a different story. The entrance felt cozy, with a coffee machine, cold drinks, and cute merchandise. The receptionist was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was spotless and tidy, with all the toiletries we needed, plus face masks, a thoughtful extra. The design blended modern and Japanese styles, and the room felt serene and comfortable. We only stayed one night, so I can’t say much about how convenient the location is for exploring, though it was easy to find. We didn’t speak with the staff much, but everyone we encountered was polite and helpful, and seemed to care about our stay. We didn’t try the onsen, but we did have the traditional Japanese breakfast. It was delicious and a distinctive experience I’d recommend to other guests. The stay exceeded my expectations, and I’d recommend it to visitors to the area. It really surprised me once I got inside.

The room and breakfast were great, and the counter staff had a very good attitude. They even helped with translating and booking boat tickets. There was a urine smell in the bathroom when we opened the room, though. It cleared after flushing, but the bathroom cleaning needs more attention.

The prices were very good, and the staff were really nice and helpful.

It’s compact and minimal, but cozy, with enough facilities for a comfortable stay. The staff, trained as part of the famous hotel group New Awaji, showed good hospitality. I hope I can come back soon!
