Breakfast had a good range, and the onsen was good too. There are Lawsons, ramen, yakitori, soba noodles and a playground all within a three-minute walk. The location worked really well, about 5 to 10 minutes from takajo station, and a taxi from Oita station was around 2000 JPY. We stayed three nights during the rugby world cup quarter finals. It's a basic, fairly old hotel, so don't expect too much. We were among the few non locals there, and it seemed quite busy. Our twin room was small but enough, and the bathroom was a typical Japanese size, but functional. We had a Japanese friend call to make the booking because I couldn't book online.
