The location made getting around easy, with shops, the ferry and the beach right nearby. The rooms have a traditional ryokan feel, and dinner and breakfast are included. They laid out the futon while we were having dinner, which was really nice. On the fourth floor, there are private onsen for men, women and families, and they were amazing. A couple of things were less good. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby, and a dead bird stayed on a landing between the third and fourth floors for my entire visit. I don't know whether employees speak English. I was with a large group that included several fluent Japanese speakers, and I didn't really hear staff use English.

The building is old, but the inside has been renovated. I really enjoyed it, and the carefully prepared food is a big reason I'd recommend this place. It made me happy both at heart and in my stomach. I'd love to visit again.

I was looking for somewhere I could stay with my dog and eat puffer fish, so I chose this place. The room was spacious, with its own bath and toilet. The food was plentiful and the fugu was delicious. Breakfast also filled us up, with plenty of little side dishes and grilled fish. Dogs are allowed, but there aren't any special arrangements for them, so it's a good idea to bring at least some things along.

We booked the Meitetsu Kanko Fugu All-You-Can-Eat Plan and were very satisfied with the amount and quality of the food. The fugu sashimi and tempura were excellent, and the Teppi no Karupachyo, Tetchiri and complimentary chawanmushi all had plenty of fugu. Breakfast had a broad selection too, and everything tasted good. I think the hotel could promote itself more as a ryokan.
