Yoshifumi

We had the whole resort to ourselves during summer vacation with our friend's family. The room was clean and comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Most of all, the staff were friendly and considerate with the children, so everyone could relax. The place had a comfortable feel and seemed thoughtfully set up. It's close to both the harbor and the ocean. After fishing or swimming, the kids could wash the sand off at the well, and the location meant they could head straight to the bathing facilities in wet swimsuits without going through the inn. There were bath amenities, including shampoo, which my mother and I enjoyed. We'd like to book the whole resort again with my parents and siblings during pufferfish season.

The seafood dinner was generous and tasty, and the price was reasonable when I stayed in summer. I also loved the group bath, which you can use at designated times. I've already decided to come back next time I'm on Himakajima Island.

We came as a family of three because we wanted to eat fugu. The Japanese-style room was clean and big enough for us, though we mostly just lounged around. In the evening, we could reserve the bath for an hour at a time. It fit about five or six people, and our child loved it enough to go three times during our one-night stay. There was plenty of food: tessa, teppi, fried fugu, and a delicious rice porridge to finish, followed by dessert. We were very satisfied with every dish. The optional grilled fugu milt was creamy and mild. Breakfast also had lots of Himakajima specialties.

It was such a cozy place that I felt like I was back home, among family. The atmosphere was homey, and the sashimi hotpot was especially delicious. It was the best inn. I'd like to visit at least once a year, and more often if it were closer. If I get the chance, I'll definitely return.
