The room’s outdoor onsen was spectacular, with a beautiful view of the river and forest, and it felt private and relaxing. The local food was fresh and authentic, not especially fancy but cooked very well and delicious. The bedroom was a little damp. It had been raining and the room is close to the river, so I guess that’s normal. There was only one bath towel per guest, which wasn’t enough when we went to the public onsen.

We enjoyed the hot spring and had horse meat for dinner. The place is surrounded by nature, but there isn’t a convenience store nearby, so bring some snacks and chips.

Dinner was decent, but the service didn’t fully satisfy me.
