I got a warm welcome from the female staff member when I checked in at night, and everything was fine until I spoke with a male staff member the next morning. He angrily said coffee and drinks weren’t complimentary unless breakfast was included. That didn’t match what the woman had told me at check-in, when she said I could “help myself to the drinks.” It was my first experience of such poor service and behavior in Japan. He could’ve explained the policy politely instead of using an angry tone and looking disgusted.

The rooms are nice and warm, and the shower is great. It’s a 3 minute walk from the train station.

I didn’t get the breakfast option, but the room and service were great for the price. I paid about 26800 yen for two people for a two night stay. Even the smoking rooms were great, the bed was comfortable, the night gowns were great, and room service was good. The staff made me feel welcome. We didn’t talk much, but they always greeted me and I smiled back. It was quiet enough that I had no trouble sleeping, and the clubs just a block down were a plus.

The bed was fine and relatively comfortable, but the room we were assigned was just gross and not clean. The pictures look nice and the lobby seems renovated, but the carpet was completely stained. There was a disgusting mat around the sink that I removed because it grossed me out too much. The bathroom had pink stains, and the counters and lamps were dusty. Luckily we got in very late and had to leave very early for work, so we spent very little time there. Do yourself a favor and don’t book here.
